My brother Paul and daughters Stephanie (standing) and Heather |
My brother Paul died last March at age 57 after four and a half years of stage IV cancer. He really lived while he was dying--he worked full-time while he remodeled his home, bought a Mustang convertible and traveled yearly to Las Vegas. It was his courage, grace and humor that inspired me to pursue my bucket list dream of dancing around the world. I hope to dance in every state and country and do the dance of that culture (e.g. hula in Hawaii, flamenco in Spain).
I also found a way to combine my love of dance and travel with volunteering through Cross-Cultural Solutions. In twelve countries (including Russia), I'll be dancing and volunteering at the same time.
